A trip back in time
I so enjoyed walking around an incredible town like Floydada, Texas.
The Naming of Floydada
At one time the town's name had been Floyd City. There are
at least three versions on how the Ada was added: "Some claim the new name
was meant to be Floydalia and was garbled in transmission to Washington; others
say it was a combination of the county name and that of donor James Price's
mother, Ada; still another version is that it was named for Caroline Price's
parents, Floyd and Ada."

Main Street, Floydada, Texas
The small town feel is so warming to the heart. To run in to people that you haven't seen in years and to meet someone new that you feel like you have know all your life. That is just the awesome part of living in West Texas.
From the old cars that they had lined up in the streets
to the historical museum with such history of this amazing place.
